Network
- Network is a group of two ormor computer linked to gathers.
There are many types of network, including:
- Local-Area Networks (LANs) : The computers are geographically close together (that is, in the same building).
- Wide-Area Networks (WANs) : The computers are farther apart and are connected by telephone lines or radio waves.
- Campus-Area Networks (CANs): The computers are within a limited geographic area, such as a campus or military base.
- Metropolitan-Area Networks (MANs): A data network designed for a town or city.
- Home-Area Networks (HANs): A network contained within a users home that connects a persons digital device.
- Network Topology : The geometric arrangement of a computer system. Common topologies include a Bus, Star, and Ring.
- Bus :In local area networks where bus topology is used, each node is connected to a single cable. Each computer or server is connected to the single bus cable.
- Star : In local area networks with a star topology, each network host is connected to a central hub with a point-to-point connection. All traffic that traverses the network passes through the central hub.
